Customs Broker Training
Customs Brokers access the Duty Free Entry (DFE) application through Tokenized Email links to Create and Submit DFE Certificates in the Duty Free Entry (DFE) application. Broker users cannot access DFE Search. Retain emails received from the DFE application for access to Create and Submit DFE Certificates as needed.
Resubmit/Edit - to Contracting Officer
Documents Returned to the submitter may be "Resubmitted" in the Duty Free Entry (DFE) application. Locate the email received for the Returned Certificate and click the Tokenized Email link.
DFE Resubmit Process
- DFE - Customs Brokers access DFE through Tokenized Email links.
- Locate the email received for the Returned Certificate and click the Tokenized Email link.
- Review the DFE document information to ensure it is the correct document.
- Review the comments from the previous user.
- Update the necessary information.
- Click the Submit button.
- A success screen displays the message "The document was submitted successfully"; document information: Entitlement/Certificate Number, Document Type, Status, Action Taken, Action Date, and Action By.
- Click the Home button or use the DFE Navigation to return.

Correct DFE Certificates for Reapproval
DFE has a Correct DFE Certificate Document feature to update certificates in the "Completed" status; only DFE – Customs Brokers can Correct completed Certificates. The Correct Certificate feature resubmits the Certificate for reapproval by a DFE – Standard User.

- DFE - Customs Brokers access DFE through Tokenized Email links.
- Locate the email received for the Completed Certificate and click the Tokenized Email link.
- Review the DFE document information to ensure it is the correct document.
- Click the Return to Incomplete button.
- Fields are now editable; update the necessary information.
- Click the Submit button.
- A success screen displays the message "The document was submitted successfully"; document information: Certificate Number, Document Type, Status, Action Taken, Action Date, and Action By.
- Click the Home button or use the DFE Navigation to return.
