System for Award Management (SAM) - Web Based Training
 

Purpose

SAM is the Federally mandated system used to track many things such as contract awards. Many DoD users require access to SAM. By providing access to SAM via a Single-Sign-On, this will create a better user experience for DoD SAM users, who should also be existing PIEE users.

Examples of valid Reasons include:

  • SAM is looking to support PKI Authentication and providing SAM access to DoD users helps the workforce.

Login


After logging into the system with one or more of the active roles listed before the user will get a SAM icon. Clicking the icon will send the user to the SAM application.

PIEE application will then use the O Auth based existing Single Sign On (SSO) technology to perform SSO between the PIEE and the SAM application.
