GFP - Government Receiver
 

Purpose

The primary function of the Property Receiver is to document the "gaining activity" transfer of government-furnished equipment.

The Receiver receives all or any portion of a shipment and takes possession from another Government, another contract, or the Government. The Receiver digitally signs the Property document in GFP.


Activities

The Property Receiver can perform three kinds of activities in the GFP system.

  • Create Property Receipt documents
  • View, receive, partially receive, or reject documents
  • Put a "Submitted" document on hold

Document Types

The Government Property Receiver can create two "types" of Property Receipts:

  • Receipt by Government from DoD
  • Receipt by Government from Contractor

The Government Receiver selects the Create Document link from the Government Receiver dropdown menu to create Property Shipment Documents in the GFP web application.

Folders Available to the Government Receiver

The Government Receiver selects the Government Receiver dropdown menu to view what Folders are available to them.


GFP Government Receiver Folders have a 2 step process:

1. Enter in Search information to limit the number of records brought back in the folder.

NOTE: The more information entered on the search page, the easier it is to find a specific record.

2. Select the Submit Button on the search page, and you will be taken to the Folder's results page with the list of records returned. See Below:


Property Transfer

The Government Receiver "Property Transfer" dropdown will be displayed when a GFP Government Receiver user cursors over the Government Receiver Link. If the GFP Government Receiver user clicks on the Government Receiver Link, the Government Receiver dropdown will be displayed as links on the page. This dropdown is used by GFP Government Receivers to create, work, and view all of their GFP Documents.


Create Document

Click this Link to create a Property Receipt Document in GFP.


Receipt Folder

A Link will be available to search for and work GFP Property Receipt Documents.

The Receipt Folder contains all Property Transfer documents that need to be received within the CAGE Code you selected. From here you can:

  1. View document information
  2. Submit receipt partial acceptance, acceptance, or rejection
  3. Place Documents on hold (H)

NOTE: You can open a document by clicking the Shipment Number or Invoice Number.

A Link will be available to search for and view GFP Property Receipt Documents created with the Government Receivers assigned Cage Code.


Hold Folder

Click this Link to view and work any documents placed on hold.


Saved Documents Folder

A Link will be available to search for Draft Documents which have been saved but are not yet submitted into the GFP Application.


Government Receiver Receipt Excel Download

Government Receiver Users may download the Property Transfer Document Receipts in excel format from GFP. To download a PTD Receipt access GFP and go to the Government Receiver > Receipt Folder under the Property Transfer dropdown.

The Property Receipt Folder Search page will be displayed, enter search criteria to narrow the search of the receipt that needs to be downloaded. After entering in the required search criteria click the Search button to continue.

The Property Receipt Folder Search Result screen will be displayed. All PTD Receipts matching the search criteria will be displayed. Click the Shipment Number to Open the Receipt.

Verify this is the correct PTD Receipt then click the Download Document button. This will prompt the user to open or save the file.

This is a sample of the downloaded PTD Receipt Excel file. The PTD Receipt excel file may be updated and uploaded back into GFP for record.
