GFP - Contractor Property Shipper
 

Purpose

The primary function of the Property Shipper is to document the "losing activity" transfer of government-furnished equipment. The Shipper releases possession and ships to another contractor, another contract, or to the Department of Defense.


Activities

The Property Shipper can perform three kinds of activities in the GFP system:

  1. Create Property Transfer documents
  2. View documents
  3. Recall documents
  4. Void documents

Document Types

The Contractor Property Shipper can create three "types" of Property Transfer documents:

  1. Contractor to DoD
  2. Contractor to Contractor
  3. Contract to Contract, same Contractor

The Contractor Property Shipper selects the Create Document link from the Contractor Property Shipper dropdown menu to create Property Shipment Documents in the GFP web application.

It will include training on how to create a Property Transfer Document from an Excel Upload. The Property Transfer document provides accountability and reporting of Government property in the possession of contractors. Log into PIEE as a GFP Contractor Property Shipper to begin.

Folders Available to the Contractor Property Shipper

The GFP Contractor Property Shipper selects the Contractor Property Shipper dropdown menu to view what Folders are available to them:


GFP Folders have a 2 step process:

1. Enter in Search information to limit the number of records brought back in the folder.

NOTE: The more information entered on the search page, the easier it is to find a specific record.

The Property Folder Search Page allows the user to search for particular records in the GFP System.

2. Select the Submit Button on the search page, and you will be taken to the Folder's results page with the list of records returned. See Below:


Contractor Property Shipper

The Contractor Property Shipper dropdown will be displayed when a GFP Contractor Property Shipper user cursors over the Contractor Property Shipper Link. If the GFP Contractor Property Shipper user clicks on the Contractor Property Shipper Link, the Contractor Property Shipper dropdown will be displayed as links on the page. This dropdown is used by GFP Contractor Property Shippers to create, work, and view all of their GFP Documents.


Create Document

Click this Link to create a Property Receipt Document in GFP.


Shipment Folder

A Link will be available to search for and view GFP Property Receipt Documents created with the Contractor Property Shippers assigned Cage Code.

The Contractor Receiver selects the Property Transfer dropdown menu and selects the Shipment Folder link.

The Shipment Folder contains all Property Transfer Shipment documents that were created for the CAGE Code. From here you can:

  1. View document information
  2. Recall the document
  3. Void the document
  4. View the EDA Contract Information

NOTE: You can open a document by clicking the Shipment Number.


Rejected Shipment Document Folder

A Link will be available to search for and rejected Shipment Documents with the assigned Cage Code.


Saved Documents Folder

A Link will be available to search for Draft Documents which have been saved but are not yet submitted into the GFP Application.
